
So for a number of months I've been working on developing a simplified, high action, character-centric RPG.
While reading recently about the LORE sytem (or Lightweight Omnipotent Roleplaying Engine), I realized engine is a viable term for the mechanics of an RPG, whereas I've always referred to mechanics as system. This instantly made me reconsider calling my game system an engine. This word creates more mirth for me...
