I saw a couple clips this morning on Meet the Press of McCain speaking at some of his rallies. The audience was really ugly, booing McCain when he told a man that Obama is essentially NOT a terrorist, Commie liberal bent on making the United States a nation led by Cobra (the terrorist organization, not the health insurance company). On another occasion he took the mic from a grossly misinformed woman who was spewing that Obama was an Arab Muslim. I took a moment today to find a link for more of the details. I give McCain props for the way he conducted himself at these rallies. Sure people can say that he helped instigate it in the first place with the Ayers ad. Others have said McCain and Palin stood idly by while audience members have shouted, "Kill him!!!" Though, in fairness, I've listened to those videos online several times, and I can't hear the shouts clearly. But I really don't even want to get into another argument about blame. My point is it was good to see John McCain trying to reset some of the tone of the campaign.
