Let's just make one thing clear...

...if at any point over the last decade or so, you voted for a Republican candidate for national office, you're as much to blame for the current financial crisis that we're in as anybody on Wallstreet.

You dumb fucks that thought George Bush was one of you or thought he would be great to have a beer with have fucked us all. At best, we're stuck with a 10 trillion dollar debt and economic recession for the next two years. At worst, our currency will be totally devalued in a few months and we'll be reduced to absolute social chaos.

Obama gives me a lot of hope, for what it's worth...but these fuckers at the McCain/Palin rallies scare the hell out of me...I realize they're a small minority and that they're pretty clearly pathetic losers (my wife and I would love to go to Obama rallies...but we have JOBS to go to!)...but I greatly fear an outbreak of violence when he gets elected.

If Obama manages to fix things, will these people ever even admit it? I remember both my grandmothers, who grew up in the Great Depression, still had great vitriol for Franklin Roosevelt even though it was his leadership that pulled us through the Depression and WW2.

I digress, though. I just want to send a hardy and heartfelt thanks to the uneducated, ignorant-and-proud "Mainstreeters" that opened the door for this mess.

I voted for Richard Lugar (R), Senator - Ind. Technically he was unopposed, but at the time it was my way of encouraging Republicans who said no to Bush's war policy. But if we're getting Toby Keithian (no compromise), I am to blame ;-)
